Notice of Prequalification of Tenderers

The Government Logistics Department (the Department) maintains lists of pre-qualified suppliers for the supply of the following products:

Categories

A. Road Traffic Signals   (i) Conventional Road Traffic Signals; and   (ii) Light Emitting Diode Road Traffic Signals.

B. Traffic Signal Controllers   (i) Traffic Signal Controllers for use in Existing Area Traffic Control Systems; and   (ii) Traffic Signal Controllers for use Outside Existing Area Traffic Control Systems.

Any firm which is not currently included in the Department’s lists of pre-qualified suppliers for the supply of these products but wishes to be considered for inclusion in these lists may apply in writing by mail or in person to the Government Logistics Department, 9th Floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point, Hong Kong.  Applications may also be submitted by facsimile to (852) 2807 2764, or by email to hktender@gld.gov.hk.

In their applications, firms should specify the products which they wish to supply.  Upon receipt of their applications, the Department will send by post to the firms the relevant documents and detailed pre-qualification assessment criteria for inclusion in the category of products which the firms have specified.

Applications received will be assessed in accordance with the relevant pre-qualification assessment criteria.  Those firms that are found acceptable will be included in the Department’s pre-qualification supplier lists.  The Department reserves the right to review the status of a firm as a GLD pre-qualified supplier in the light of any new information that may affect such status.

Suppliers on the relevant lists will be notified of any invitations to tender for the supply of the products for which they have been qualified, as and when opportunities arise.
